JOB DUTIES:   The exact work performed by the new developers will be
based on experience and skill set, but the team supports a wide range of
platforms as well as avionics products and core mission planning
capabilities. All of these products are based on a PC environment using
Visual Basic and C++. Most are GUI intensive and use the Microsoft
Component Object Model (COM) architecture. In the near future, we will
begin to transition to the .NET architecture. Software developers on the
Mission Planning team are expected to participate in all phases of lifecycle
development from requirements through unit testing. Mission Planning uses
features of UML for use case and design modeling.

JOB SKILLS:   BSCS or other applicable math or science bachelor's degree
or higher
Minimum three years experience with Visual Basic/COM programming on
Windows 2000 or XP. Minimum three years experience with Visual C++/COM
programming on Windows 2000 or XP. At least two years experience with
military or aviation electronics/avionics software development or military or
aviation ground station software development on a Windows platform.
Experience in object-oriented development using Unified Modeling
Language (UML) to describe software designs. At least three years
experience using advanced features of Microsoft Office products, particularly
Excel and Access. Experience with XML and SQL Experience with Rational
ClearCase and ClearQuest

Desired Experience/Abilities
Experience developing software in a SEI-CMM Level 3 or higher environment
or an SEI-CMMI Level 3 or higher environment.  Higher levels are better.
Experience with military aircraft mission planning software development.
Experience with Installshield. Experience incorporating 3rd-party GUI
controls in a Visual Studio-based development. Experience WITH Microsoft .

The ideal candidate will have experience both developing enterprise level
Java/J2EE web applications and leading a development staff.  Candidate
will be responsible for:

·       Executing project plans
·       Adhering to defined systems architecture

·       Debugging application logic
·       Both the technical and administrative leadership of 5 developers
·       Communicating technical concepts in both oral and written format with
technical and managerial staff alike

Candidate Requirements:

turret. The person will focus on implementing User Interfaces in a Linux
embedded environment. The person must have extensive experience with

  • OOD/OOP

JOB DUTIES:   The candidate will work with Cmmi project team members to
correct issues found in our recent cmmi level 4 class b appraisal. This task
will involve assisting the team personnel to understand cmmi appraisal
requirements and facilitate the team personnel as they update appraisal
assets to cmmi project standards. This is an ongoing activity through our
CMMi level 5 class a appraisal.

JOB SKILLS:   knowledge of the sei cmm and/or cmmi is a must. Previous
work experience with engineering process groups to develop process
assets and the preparation of materials for scampi appraisals desired. A
college degree along with direct continuous process improvement
experience is required.
